Round 1 of the Aeon Credit MAM Malaysia Superbike Championship kicks off this weekend at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, with the YAMAHA Y16ZR Race Masterclass returning and featuring 29 riders.

Last season’s champion, Md Adib Arsyad, has moved to the YAMAHA R15M Race Elites, opening up the title race. Ahmad Iqram Danish, last year’s runner-up, sees this as a golden opportunity to claim the top spot. He expects tough competition from Akid and Jebat, citing their strong strategies.

Despite nine fewer riders than last season, the competition remains fierce with the inclusion of new experienced entrants. Jebat Zulkarnain, last season’s 2nd runner-up, is determined to aim for the championship or at least consistent podiums. Raiyan Khardanee also aims for the top, focusing on preparation, strategy, and consistent performance.

The 155cc underbone race promises close competition, emphasizing rider skill, machine optimization, and race strategies.
