Official Gymkhana Returns to Penang After 10 Years

The thrill of motorsport is set to roar back into Juru Auto-City, Penang, as the Gymkhana KBS Race makes its long-awaited return to the Northern region after nearly a decade.

Happening on 20–21 September 2025, this exciting event is organized by Kelab Sukan Bermotor Estrada, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth & Sports Malaysia (KBS), the Penang State Department of Youth & Sports (JBSN), and sanctioned by the Malaysia Motorsport Association (MAM). The race is proudly supported by Pulzar Malaysia and Auto-City.

Seven Racing Categories

Drivers will battle across seven adrenaline-fueled categories:

  • One Make Race
  • Ladies One Make Race
  • Open
  • FWD Pro
  • RWD Pro
  • FWD Advance
  • RWD Advance

With only 60 driver slots available and RM3,000 in cash prizes, the competition promises high intensity, attracting both seasoned racers and fresh challengers.

Beyond the competition, this event also marks an important step by KBS to introduce Gymkhana to the Northern community. It’s a chance for local youth to get involved, and for fans to witness the unique, skill-based driving action that makes Gymkhana racing so exciting.
